Hand painted kitchen Kimpton Hertfordshire. The clients here wanted a hand painted kitchen. They had sent me some photos of a perfectly good Maple kitchen that had been fitted well and had been looked after over the years. The kitchen just looked dark and needed complete makeover.
After a site visit, we had gone over colours and agreed on a colour from the Farrow and Ball palette called Clunch. We also discussed the options on worktops. I suggested European oak that could be oiled with osmo top oil. This would give a beautiful natural finish that would be water repellent and also good for food preparation.
As you can see, the transformation to this 16 year old kitchen is fantastic, the worktops complement the Tikkurila Helmi finish by Holmans paints and the handles look brand new.
The kitchen is now flooded with reflective light that this relatively inexpensive process has given it, the clients response was fantastic as she thought it came out better than she ever could have imagined, this makes it all the more worthwhile as it was her pride and joy!
The canopy was being fitted the day after painting and will complete the look of this new hand painted kitchen in Hertfordshire. I adjusted some of the doors so that the gaps were even and adjusted some of the runners, it is now ready for use.
This a great example of transforming a small but perfectly adequate kitchen. All the cabinets were in good condition. Removing and replacing this kitchen would have cost in the region of £10,000 which would include all fitting and removal costs associated with a kitchen refit.
If you are thinking of having your kitchen painted and its like the one above then please forward some photos of the project to me and I will get a full and concise quote to you within 24hrs.
