Site visit
After a site visit, we had gone over colours and agreed on a colour from the Farrow and Ball palette called Clunch. We also discussed the options on worktops. I suggested European oak that could be oiled with osmo top oil. This would give a beautiful natural finish that would be water repellent and also good for food preparation.
The handles were fine and were put through the dishwasher, they came out as good as new.
The kitchen did look quite dark in low light.

As you can see, the transformation to this 16 year old kitchen is fantastic, the worktops complement the Tikkurila Helmi finish by Holmans paints and the handles look brand new. hand painted kitchen kimpton
The kitchen is now flooded with reflective light that this undoubtedly inexpensive process has given it. Tthe clients response was fantastic as she thought it came out better than she ever could have imagined. This particularly makes it all the more worthwhile as it was her pride and joy!
New kitchen at a fraction of the cost of replacement
The canopy was being fitted the day after painting and will complete the look of this new hand painted kitchen. I adjusted some of the doors so that the gaps were even and adjusted some of the runners. It is now ready for use.hand painted kitchen kimpton
This a great example of transforming a small but perfectly adequate kitchen. All the cabinets were certainly in good condition. Removing and replacing this kitchen would have cost in the region of £10,000 which would include all fitting and removal costs associated with a kitchen refit.hand painted kitchen kimpton
