kitchen cabinet painter cambridge cambridgeshire. The clients brief to me was, I want it to be brighter, cleaner and fresher. We don't want the disruption of taking it out and replacing so what can you do?
The kitchen is 20 years old and is an oak and was well fitted. This makes the painting process easier as the well made and well fitted cabinets look much better with straight doors and drawers.
The kitchen just needed painting as I could tell the cabinets were all fine. I recommended a paint system by Tikkurila and it was agreed by the client.
Pegaprim shellac primer, tikkurila feelings undercoat followed by feelings top coat semi matt. A tried and trusted paint system that I have used for many kitchen projects.
This kitchen came out really well, the feelings was a great choice on this kitchen, the client loved the level of sheen. As you can see in the photo above it is a superb even finish.
I suggested to the client that she buys some new knobs to match the new oak work top. The results speak for themselves. A new kitchen given a new lease of life and the paint finish that will stand up to every day use.
A couple of adjustments were made just re align the doors which was a relatively painless task and no additional charge to the client.
Lovely and bright, nice and fresh looking. A good choice of colour too.
The sheen is fantastic, not overly shiny or matt.
If you have a kitchen in the Cambridgeshire area that is looking tired and feel it would benefit from a fantastic new paint job then please contact me. If you send photos I can have a full and quote to you within 24hrs.
