Wooburn Green is a village situated four miles south east of the town of High Wycombe. It also neighbours, Beaconsfield, Loudwater, Flackwell Heath, Wooburn Common and Bourne End.

Earlier in the year, a prospective client contacted me with regards to completely changing the look of her kitchen. A brief conversation took place about how the process works and also what to expect from her newly painted kitchen.

I asked the lady to send some images so I could make an assessment and give her a quote. The images below show the kitchen before I started. There was no need to change the kitchen as the cabinets were above all fine! A few alignment issues in particular which were easily rectified.

Removing the doors

On the first day, I make a simple floor plan of the kitchen. I then number doors and also any other component that is removed. This ensures that everything goes back to exactly where it came from.

This is also good practice even though most of the doors and also the drawers are standard sizes.

All screws and hardware are placed into individual boxes and set aside in a safe location. I try to keep all hardware in separate boxes to make re fitting much more efficient.

about job

First and foremost all surface cooking residues are removed, this includes any oil build up that can effect the adhesion of the primer. I use many different degreasers depending on the level of contamination. Kitchen cabinet painter Wooburn Green Buckinghamshire

Priming and painting

The all important primer layer! I use a high build adhesion primer after the prep is completed. A scratch test is also carried out once it is dry. This is just to ensure that I have good adhesion for the top coats. Kitchen cabinet painter Wooburn Green Buckinghamshire

On this particular kitchen a discussion with the client about the preferred sheen level happened at the start. A 10% sheen (Eggshell) was decided upon. A beautiful even finish that enhances the look of the kitchen. A very good water based enamel that will stand the rigours of everyday use and also good for the environment as it is low in VOC.

The completed kitchen!
