Hand Painted kitchen Letchworth Hertfordshire. This kitchen was in oak, was looking quite tired and was about to have a complete makeover. After a few conversations with the client, they went on to replace the tops with an oak top.
This was done before painting so the transition join between tops and furniture could be caulked which would give a more finished look to the project.
These vinyl wrapped kitchens can make a huge transformation. Some clients think that these cannot be painted. Using the correct adhesion primers will get the required results every time.
A couple of areas of plinth needed some repair along with adjustments to realign the doors and drawers. These are relatively easy to do so I dont mind doing them as part of the job without having to charge any extra.
I made up a small jig for new handles on the drawers, and new cupped handles were put on in place of the old handles.
The doors were taken to my workshop, and prepared and sprayed. I started witha good adhesion primerthen used feelings undercoat. Feelings semi matt was the top coat and all supplied by Holmans Paints in Elephants Breath. The frames and all fixed end and decor panels were finished on site.
The overall finish was fantastic and a real transformation in a small kitchen. A very satisfying project. The clients saved a lot of money and at the end of the project have a fantastic looking kitchen.
